The Parents & Friends Association is an integral part of the Our Lady’s College and provides a formal structure for parents and others interested in the welfare of the students to participate in all activities and decision making processes at the school and to work for the benefit of the school.

  • providing support, information & involvement of parents/carers in children’s learning and the school community – i.e. building community
  • developing collaboration between parents/carers and school staff
  • promote the principles of Catholic education
  • foster a distinctive Christian environment in the school
  • provide a medium for parents/carers to participate at Diocesan, State & National levels.

The 2015 Parents and Friends Association have continued to work in partnership with the College Leadership team in providing a quality learning environment for our daughters.

It is  important  that we as a community are aware of how our contributions are utilised within the school. A portion of the P&F levy is committed to the repayment of the loan for the refurbishment of D  block.  It  is  hard  to  believe  that  this  facility  is  celebrating  its  first  birthday  and  its  value  is evident in the integral part it plays in the dynamic learning and teaching that occurs at Our Lady’s College. The remainder of the funds have been used in contributing to the following:

  • Support the students who attended World Youth Day in Sydney
  • Subsidised the driver training during the week of excellence
  • Purchase of 4 new water coolers
  • Upgrade College server
  • Provide distribution desk for the library

Each year we support the New parents BBQ held in the last Friday of February, and coordinate working bees throughout the school year. Last year we held 3 and all parents, students & staff who attended were unanimous in their both their enjoyment of the day and rewarded with the results of the work performed. 

As a parent/carer it is a great way to meet other parents, participate in decision making, and promote interaction between home and school, as well as support and work in partnership with the Principal and staff.

We would welcome your input – please join us at our next meeting.

Our meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm.  Our 2016 AGM will be held 8 November .
