The curriculum at Our Lady’s College is designed to maximise opportunities for our students and is centred on the Brisbane Catholic Education Learning and Teaching Framework. This Framework focuses on continuous improvement for each and every student. Permeating our curriculum, is a strong sense of generosity and professionalism by teachers who seek to extend, challenge and motivate our young women to reach their potential and to share our dream that they develop a life-long love of learning and to strive ever higher.

The learning culture at Our Lady’s College is characterised by strong bonds between teachers and students, resulting in mentoring partnerships that enables each student to vision and realise an impressive future. In Years 11 and 12, students follow courses outlined by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority and are supported to make strong choices about the learning areas and programs to ensure their eligibility for the Queensland Certificate of Education, Tertiary Entrance and ATAR.

Opportunities exist from the beginning of Year 10 for students to complete Certificate courses onsite with one of our course providers or to take the opportunity to enrol in offerings at one of the many easily accessible TAFE campuses. Students also have the opportunity to enrol in University subjects offered for students to enhance their learning goals.

The College has an extensive wireless network that enables access across the entire campus and all classrooms are equipped with built-in audio-visual technology. The One to One Laptop Program operates across all year levels and allows students immediate access to their learning anywhere, anytime.

As a Catholic Christian community, we educate all to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Developing the whole person is a priority and our curriculum targeted to inspire young women and is designed to develop learners who are creative and confident, active, informed and empowered to shape and enrich our world.
