Welcome to Our Lady’s College.

As a College living the legacy of St Mary (of the Cross) MacKillop, Our Lady’s is committed to the education of the ‘head, heart and hands’.

We are a Catholic girls Secondary College that is centrally located and living the motto and challenge “Ad Altiora” (Ever Higher). Established in 1964 by the Sisters of St Joseph and from 1976 administered by Brisbane Catholic Education, the College enjoys connection with approximately 145 other Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Brisbane and 32 Josephite schools across Australia and New Zealand. The values of Tradition, Excellence and Community are readily apparent in our girls, who are supported in their learning by highly professional, experienced and dedicated staff.

Enactment of the Master Plan has seen the Our Lady’s facilities and streetscape grow and change significantly over the past two years. Ad Altiora Place includes a modern Resource Centre with theaterette, café and deck that overlooks McKnoulty Field.  Two new state of the art Science laboratories in our Tenison Woods Wing extension allow the girls access to contemporary pedagogy and provide opportunity for advanced investigations.

Our Curriculum is both broad and deep allowing for extension with our gifted programs and consolidation through our Learning Enrichment department.  Instrumental Music and Cultural programs and membership of the Catholic Secondary Schoolgirls Sports Association (CaSSSA) sports competition encourages girls to be involved in a wide range of co-curricular activities. Our Lady’s girls are nurtured in their learning in smaller than usual class groupings. This is reflected in their academic results which enable our students to achieve desirable outcomes in placement in university courses and post school work opportunities.

Come and meet me for a personal tour of our College at 8am on the 1st Friday of each month during term time.

Please contact the College office on 3426 8000 to make an appointment.
